The interventional cardiologists of Cardiac Study Center possess additional skills in the therapeutic percutaneous techniques of angioplasty, stent implanation, atherectomy and thrombectomy. These procedures are performed in elective and acute settings in the state-of-the-art cardiac cateterization laboratories of both Tacoma General and St. Joseph's Hospitals. Last year, the cardiologists at Cardiac Study Center performed more than 3000 cardiac catheterization procedures and greater than 1500 percutaneous coronary interventions at these facilities with the dedicated support of the skilled nurses and technicians at each hospital.
