In
1977, Susan Bemis Marsh joined Cardiac Study Center
as a Cardiac Technician. After a career spanning
over two decades, she has returned to Cardiac Study
Center as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
It has been a journey through health care that has
covered many areas. After practicing as a cardiac
and ER technologist, Susan became an RN at age 35,
graduating top of her class. She then joined the
staff at Tacoma General Hospital. While serving
in the ICU she worked closely with cardiologists
and earned a CCRN specialty designation. At age
50, Susan returned to school to complete an ARNP
Masters Degree. "I wanted to have a closer
relationship with patients on a long-term basis.
Nurse Practitioners help reinforce and extend the
doctor's treatment plan. I believe we make a real
difference in patients' lives."
For
Susan, returning to Cardiac Study Center was like
coming home. "I could hardly wait to get back
to my home base. I am very happy to be part of this
great team."
