Before moving to this area, Dr. Malhotra was Chief Fellow in Cardiology at the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL. The geography and the climate of the Pacific Northwest remind Dr. Malhotra of his childhood home, a high plateau in India. “I like the natural environment, the lifestyle, and the excellent schools.

Dr. Malhotra has one son. The physician enjoys music and travel during his non–working hours. Dr. Malhotra was a University level squash and still enjoys this challenging sport.

Areas of particular interest to Dr. Malhotra include CT angiography, pulmonary hypertension, and contrast and stress echocardiography.

   
 
CLINICAL OUTLOOK:
The opportunity to become part of a group recognized for its excellence attracted Dr. Vinay Malhotra to Cardiac Study Center. “This is a large group with a multifaceted practice. The coordination and range of expertise is a great benefit for the patient.” For Dr. Malhotra, general cardiology offers a flexibility he appreciates. Although trained in a variety of modalities, he has a specific interest in CT Angiography, Echocardiography, and myocardial perfusion imaging, arrhythmia, and pulmonary hypertension.
