Dr. Lapin has a special interest in research
and the results it can contribute in the advancement

He has participated over the last 15+ years
in a study through the University of Washington
in Western Washington on thromboletics and and
myocardial infarctions. In addition, he has
participated in worldwide research projects
as a participant of GUSTO.

Dr. Lapin is married. He has three sons and one grandson.
When away from his practice, Dr. Lapin is an avid
skier and scuba diver. With help from his wife, Margaret,
Dr. Lapin is a big supporter of Cardiac Study Center's
community outreach programs. Examples of these programs
are the American Heart Association's annual Heart
Walk and Heart Ball, the American Cancer Society,
and McKinley Elementary School on the eastside of
Tacoma. |

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:
Dr. Lapin is Director of the Cardiac Catheterization
Lab at Tacoma General Hospital. A philosophy guiding
his practice and work with the medical community
is service to patients. Since joining the Cardiac
Study Center in 1975, Dr. Lapin has been involved
in all areas of cardiovascular care, but has greatly
contributed to patients and the medical community
through his expertise in cardiac catheterization,
angioplasty, stents, and atherectomy.
